Arizona Armed & Unarmed Guard Card Course

This Armed and Unarmed Guard Card Course is 2 Days. Day 1, is 8hrs Unarmed and the 1st 8hrs of the 16hrs Armed Course run together. 2nd Day is the remaining 8hrs of the Armed Course. Both Training Office and Shooting Range locations are on this web site.

REQUIRED TRAINING FOR AZ ARMED SECURITY GUARD LICENSING 16hrs.

  • To certify armed guards to carry firearms after successfully completing a 16-hour course of instruction.
  • To inform armed guards of escalation and de-escalation of force issues as well as using deadly physical force as justified by law.
  • To display knowledge and proficiency of deadly force issues by passing an approved written test with a minimum score of 100 percent at the conclusion of the class. This requires a score of at least 70 percent on the initial test. Initial test scores below 70 percent fail the class. Students will be retested on the questions they missed until 100% is achieved.
  • To display shooting proficiency by firing a minimum of fifty (50) live rounds for qualification and achieving a score of at least 70 percent.
  • Equipment Required: Duty Belt, Firearm, Holster, Magazine Holster, 3 Magazines, 100+ Rounds of Ammo, Eye and Ear Protection, Water, Closed Toed Shoes, Hat, ect.

REQUIRED TRAINING FOR AZ UNARMED SECURITY GUARD LICENSING 8hrs.

  • Have working knowledge of legal limitations in the enforcement of criminal laws, use of force & civil liability in the performance of their duties.
  • Will successfully demonstrate learned knowledge of training provided before being certified for licensing and assuming a duty
